Infant Sleep Training can start as early as 3 months. Twins and Preemies will usually need to wait a couple weeks or months after 3 month marker. Your Sleep Trainer can give you a better idea once they go over gestational age.
Babies weight needs to be 10-12 pounds, at least. Some babies reach this weight quickly and easily, while other infants are little guys. All very common and nothing to stress about. Your baby will gain weight in time, no rush. Formula can be more filling and help pack on those extra pounds. No pressure to start using formula, just an option for parents if they are trying to get longer stretches and pack on a few extra pounds. Ounces per day
24-32 ounces per day is mandatory to start training. If they are not up to 24 ounces (including a dreamfeed) a day, they still need to be fed at night.
Patience is a key component when it comes to Sleep Training requirements. All babies grow and develop at different rates. Its very common for a 3 month old to not weigh or eat the required amount, to start sleep training. Be patient with your baby as they develop into the next milestone.
