Some say “there is no price I wouldn’t pay, to get my infant or toddler sleeping through the night”. Parents have claimed “Sleep Training saved our marriage”. We know sleep is highly important, we also know financially we can’t always afford everything we desire. Our elite team understands not everyone has a guest house or the finances to put us up in a hotel. We will work with you to come up with a more affordable solution or suggest some other options families have utilized.
Travel time and flights
You will need to purchase flights for your Sleep Guru. Travel time (flight hours, and travel to home/airport) will be expensed to the family. Please feel free to pick us up from the airport if you are not interested in paying for a cab/uber.
Our hourly rate for a single infant or toddler is $28 an hour. We have an 8 hour minimum (per night) and 3 night requirement to start. Most families book 10-12 hours the first night and then 8 or more there after. You will have a better idea of hours needed after the first night.
We need our sleep in the day. A couch or spare room in your house can get a bit uncomfortable for everyone.

We have a one time, non refundable $100 application fee. This fee locks in your Sleep Fairy for the nights you have booked. We are a very busy agency. Sleep Specialist turn down other Sleep Trainings to keep those nights open for you. If you cancel, or decide you want to try Sleep Training yourself, you are taking away these amazing women’s livelihood. Please be respectful and understanding if you need to cancel.
Rescheduling happens, we get it. We will work with your family to find another open slot. Please keep in mind, we are booked out months in advance at times. If a Sleep Specialist has 3-6 nights open, we all work really hard to fit your family in to these open vacancy’s.
Some parents aren’t ready for their babies to be moved into the nursery. We love sleeping with our babies and toddlers. Its a bonding experience and safety validation. If you decide you just simply aren’t ready, please inform us as soon as possible. We are here to help. When the time is right, please reach out to us and reschedule. We can reschedule up to one time for these cases. If you cancel more than twice, we can no longer work with your family.

It happens, we get it. Toddlers are by far the best negotiators. You almost see a little lawyer in the them when they plead their case. Toddlers have regression in sleep patterns a couple times a year. Its very common and certainly fixable. Within a few days of consistency you will be enjoying your sleep anew.

No negotiating. Keep the rules firm.
Give them a choice. They feel like they have a form of authority in the situation. Even if its something small. “Green pajamas or red?”.
Stay consistent with the rules for bed time.

Infant Sleep Training can start as early as 3 months. Twins and Preemies will usually need to wait a couple weeks or months after 3 month marker. Your Sleep Trainer can give you a better idea once they go over gestational age.
Babies weight needs to be 10-12 pounds, at least. Some babies reach this weight quickly and easily, while other infants are little guys. All very common and nothing to stress about. Your baby will gain weight in time, no rush. Formula can be more filling and help pack on those extra pounds. No pressure to start using formula, just an option for parents if they are trying to get longer stretches and pack on a few extra pounds. If you’re worried about your babies weight, please chat with your physician.
Ounces per day
24-32 ounces per day is mandatory to start training. If they are not up to 24 ounces (including a dreamfeed) a day, they still need to be fed at night.
Patience is a key component when it comes to Sleep Training requirements. All babies grow and develop at different rates. Its very common for a 3 month old to not weigh or eat the required amount, to start sleep training. Be patient with your baby as they develop into the next milestone.
Our world-class Sleep Trainers will be on the island of Kauai in October. This is a rare treat for the island. Typically families fly our trainers to their home, pay for transportation and room. The month of October is on us for travel and room. We will be helping families on the island train Infants and Toddlers to sleep through the night.

You will pay for travel time and the expenses to travel. The $24.00 hourly rate is applied during travel time via car or plane. Gas and or plane ticket will be purchased by the family.
The family will provide Hotel or guest house for the trainer while they stay in your location for the Sleep Training.

Who has the knowledge
The nurses at the hospital should have lots of knowledge to help with latching and milk supply. If your problems arise after you are home, your night nurse and or doula should have plenty of tips to guide you to success. Still having difficulties? Reach out to your local lactation source. They can be found at hospitals and community events for moms. Most insurance should cover your lactation consult. Check with your insurance to see who is in your network.
Relax! Babies can feed off your stress and in return makes them stressed. 30 years ago docs had moms drink a beer to relax them and have the milk supply arrive. This trick is still used today. Obviously, pump and dump that first supply after beer.
Lay on your back while breastfeeding. Baby led breastfeeding.
Sometimes baby isn’t hungry. Offer breast when you and baby are calm. A lot of the times baby gets frustrated when mom is forcing a feeding and baby actually is just tired. Relax, enjoy, and read your babies cues.

Breastfeeding is hard
We are all told breastfeeding is the most natural thing in motherhood. Thats not the case for many. Latch and position are important. Most moms can’t throw their baby on a breast and expect perfect feedings. If you are having troubles breastfeeding, no worries, plenty of expertise around to help. The most helpful tip we can offer is lie down on back and have baby find your nipple. They can smell that delicious milk and become very determined. If breastfeeding is painful, unlatch and try again. You want babies mouth wide and around most of the nipple. Its a common struggle, you are not alone. It will get better.
Postpartum depression affects 1 in 7 women. Thats a huge amount of women struggling and being hush hush about it. It’s ok to be depressed after your baby arrives. Its common. Solution seeking should be your first priority. Talking to your doctor and family about your depression will open up some helpful solutions. You will get past your depression, and love your baby. This feeling is not permanent. Sleep is a huge impact on depression. Make sure you are taking care of yourself as well. If you have feelings of hurting yourself or your baby you should call 911 and or your doctor immediately.
Everybody has a “right” opinion
Everybody has an opinion or experience they want to share with you. How to swaddle or not to swaddle, bathe, give a binky, don’t give a binky. You will always be told what you are doing wrong and rarely what you are doing right. Most people are genuinely trying to be helpful. Do your own research, take into consideration of what others suggest and decide as a family whats best for you and your family. Parenting is hard at all stages. You’re doing a great job!

A Sleep Fairy comes to your home and helps your toddler(s) or infant(s) sleep through the night. She educates the family on the sleep training process. Your sleep fairy will guide your tiny ones through the night and set them up for sleep success for life. If you have sleep regression, (which you will until kiddos are 4) you will have access to your sleep fairy for life via text, email or phone calls.
How does it work?
Your Sleep Fairy has an initial evening visit to assess the nursery, bed time routine and daytime/nap routine. She will meet the toddler and make sure they are all set for sleep success in their room. Infants get to know their sleep trainer a bit in this visit, this will prevent “stranger danger”. She will then arrive between 6pm-11pm (8 hour minimum) to start the magic. She will ease and guide your infant or toddler through the night and teach your babies how to self soothe. Its very exciting news to have a brother or sister on the way. Most kids are very excited at first. Once they realize all that undivided attention that was once on them, is now on their sibling, perspectives change a bit. I asked my parents when my sister was going back to the hospital. Its very common. How do we get them excited? We bribe them with gifts, like usual.
Get your toddler excited
Tell them all the things they can do with their new sibling. They will have somebody to play with at all times. A forever friend. Excite them about how fun it will be. The important role a big sibling has. What they can do to help Mommy and Daddy when their sibling arrives. Show them the ultrasounds, feel when baby is kicking and let them help you decorate the nursery.
Families have started this new trend of “the baby” giving their older sibling a “hello” gift. In return you have your toddler pick out a “welcome” gift for their new baby sibling. What toddler doesn’t love gifts? Its a fast way to a toddlers heart. It doesn’t have to be extravagant but get her excited about a gift and keep telling her, “maybe the Baby will get that for you”.
Make sure your toddler is still getting lots of attention. Kisses and hugs from mom, dad, grandpa, the whole family. Take her and the new baby on “Sister dates” “Sibling fun”. Just so she knows she can have fun with her non mobile friend. She will want to show her baby sibling all the fun exciting things she sees. Some toddlers take a few to warm up to their new friend. A lack of sleep affects everyone in the household. Get more sleep for you and your family. These 3 tips can help you and your baby sleep through the night.
Make the nursery dark.
Use black out curtains, and cover all light in the room. Light from windows, underneath the door, humidifier light, monitor light, firearm light, cover it with a piece of tape. Make the room pitch black.
If you need to go into the nursery at night, use a red light. Less stimulating for an infant. This creates a womb like feel for the baby, and creates a sleep environment that won’t simulate baby if they wake in middle of night. Sleep training a child is hard, blacking out the room will make it easier for baby to continue sleeping.
White noise machine
When sleep training an infant a white noise machine on ocean or rain can be very helpful. You want the waves noises to be loud. You want it to drown out any noise going on outside the nursery room. Make sure to cover the lights on white noise machine.
Sleep training success doubles when creating a bedtime routine. Make a bedtime routine of 7 things/ habits. Examples: Change diaper, sing a song, lavender lotion, read books, pajamas, etc. 7 things you want to do before baby goes to sleep for the night. Start night time routine 30 minutes prior to bedtime every night.
