Everyone on our team is either a Newborn Care Specialist and or Doula. We don’t post jobs and send strangers to your home. We meet our team, they go through background checks, drug screening, immunization requirements, extensive reference check, and newborn experience is required. This is our career, not a job for a babysitter. We are certified, and very knowledgeable.
We have several years of experience
Most of our team are moms. So they know exactly what you need. We have a 3 year minimum requirement with newborn(s). Everyone in your home feels a 100% comfortable with newborns and your postpartum care. Rest and health is essential for a recovering momma. Our goal is to get you as much sleep as possible.
We care
Our team cares about our credibility. We want you to have a great experience. We are in charge of your most precious beings. We want you and your infant to feel cared for and rest easy knowing you have a certified, genuine, and reliable Night Nanny in your home. We want your family to worry about other things that may arise in life, not your overnight care. We love our team, and we think you will too.
Preparing your newborn for bed around 7 or 8 pm, establishes a routine early on. Dim the lights, turn off the tv, have other kiddos have quiet time. Stimulation in the evening can be hard for your newborn to settle for the long stretches to come. Change diaper, put pajamas on, read a story, or just snuggle. This will create cues and good habits when its time for your baby to sleep through the night.
Nursery help
Your night nanny can help guide your nursery into a sleep haven for your little ones. White noise, light, curtains all play a huge part in your babies uninterrupted or interrupted sleep. Your Night Nanny will focus on getting you and your baby the most restful sleep. If baby is happy and sleeping, momma is happy and sleeping.
Twins and sleep
Twins come with twice the laundry, bottles and sleep questions. Your Night Nanny will help with tricks and tips to get your twins sleeping at the same time, sleep training tips, and when and if you need to separate the two until they both have sleeping down.

We have an amazing team of doulas newborn care specialist. We know each of our Night Nannies and feel 100% comfortable sending them to your home.
Having a new baby is a blessing, but a very exhausting. The one problem new moms suffer from after coming out of the delivery room is catching a good nights rest, without any interruptions. While most moms with newborn babies think they can do it all, lack of sleep is detrimental to a woman recovering after giving birth.
Now, there is a solution, they’re called night nannies. These professional ladies will help you manage your babies at night so that you can sleep well and bond as needed with your baby during the day.
What is a night nanny?
Night nannies, maternity nurses, or baby whisperer; are women that help care for your baby throughout the night while you enjoy some recovery sleep.
Their responsibility centers on taking care of the baby, feeding them, changing the diaper, hushing them to sleep, and keeping them calm all night till the morning.
It is a full day’s job for a night you might say; however, for mothers that intend to use this service to care for their baby, caution is the keyword when looking for the right night nanny to care for your precious loved ones.
5 tips to ease the stress of searching for the right night nanny
Ask, Ask and Ask some more
Your baby is very precious, and leaving them in the hands of a stranger just to catch sleep is not worth it if the wrong choice is made.
Therefore, ask around, ask friends that have tried it, join parenting community online or seek information at a hospital or childcare center about night nannies and if there is a recommended group, society or person that can suitably fit into your home and in your baby’s life.
Check how much experience the night nanny has?
While some programs and establishments provide certifications for learning how to be a night nanny, it is an extra positive to have one that has worked with children (a nurse is even better), a mother (a great option). These two criteria are added values that will enable you to make the right choice.
Has some form of child’s health knowledge
Babies are unpredictable, a sound and healthy baby can go from playful to running a temperature. If you are looking to hire a night nurse, she must have some knowledge of child health, especially how to perform CPR, basic first-aid treatment and when to dial 911 for help.
Compassionate and stamina
Caring for newborns is exhausting- waking up during your sleep can be mentally draining and overwhelming, hence your night nanny should have the stamina to keep up with your baby’s habits.
So if you have a fussy baby, your night nanny must be compassionate with enough positive energy that will calm your baby and put your mind at rest.
We’ve got you covered
Do you need a night nanny but don’t know where or how to start? Well, don’t worry, we have you covered. When you come to us for a night nanny for your newborn, we will provide you with all the background and reference information to you for the night nanny of your choice.
Furthermore, all the nannies on our team have an excellent track record with an experience of more than three years caring for babies as night nannies.
Being a new mom comes with a few difficulties, it’s even harder when you already have kids, and you just had a new baby. No matter how much practice you have had with the ‘mom thing’, you cannot cheat nature, you will eventually get tired. You have to wake up in the morning to make sure the other kids are prepped and ready to go to school, you also have to make sure that they do their homework when they get back home. Oh! There is laundry. And just in case you think you have all of the above covered, there is also the part of having all your kids talk to you at the same time, and you have to be actively involved in this conversation because you are ‘mom’.
When you look at all of these, the idea of having yet another kid might begin to sound scary, and this is why you need a Doula. Someone who will take care of your baby when you have to tend to the rest of the children, and even when you are asleep.
Here are a few reasons why you need a Doula.
Its exhausting when your newborn needs to be fed every 2-3 hours. But you have to get up anyway, whether you feel like it, or not. This is where a Doula comes in, you need all the rest you can get if you are going to resume mom duties with the rest of your children by morning. The Doula tends to your baby, while you sleep, this way, you can wake up very early, ready and agile enough to start your activities for the day.
You need your head in the right place:
When you have to tend to the baby and the rest of the kids all by yourself, your mind is often all over the place. You are listening to Brian chatter about a new teacher at school, you are helping Natasha with her homework, and then the baby starts crying; you immediately run from them to go check why the baby is crying, and then you run back to continue from where you stopped. This will distort your thought process and coupled with the sleepless nights, you just might end up with a bad headache eventually.
At Night Owl Nanny Care, we provide overnight care for your baby. While you grab that beauty sleep and allow your mind and body to rest, we do the job of staying awake and making sure your baby is well tended to. Thus giving you the chance to wake up strong, agile and ready for the day.
We understand how hard it is for you to juggle ‘mom’ duties and ‘new mom’ duties at the same time, so we help with the ‘new mom’ duties, which includes all the activities concerning the newborn.
If you need a nanny or a Doula to take care of your newborn while you catch a much needed snooze, we have got the right nannies to handle the night mom duties in more ways than one.
Your night nanny will feed, burp, and snuggle baby back to sleep. They will tend to your babies cries. Your night nurse will change diapers and take out dirty diaper pales. Rock, swaddle and assist you with any extra hands you may need overnight.
Night Nanny chores
A night nanny will do anything baby and mommy related. Baby laundry, cleaning and sterilizing bottles/pump equipment, and tidy nursery. Restock the nursery and changing station. Night nannies will get you water, tea, or snack while you breastfeed or pump. If you have a special request, just talk to your doula or newborn care specialist about your overnight needs.
Sleep
Your night nurse also sleeps. If baby is cared for, chores are complete, your doula or NBCS will rest while baby is resting. Studies show resting while baby rest not only helps baby sleep better, but also helps your night nanny to perform and exceed at their nightly duties.
Let us help you find the perfect Night Nanny for your family. We have a great team of Doulas and Newborn Care Specialist. Everyone is a Sleep Trainer with years of experience.
You have a few options when breastfeeding and having a night nanny. Your Night Nanny will bring in your baby when its time to feed, or have you come to the nursery to breastfeed. Ever family has a different plan that works for them. We cater to your needs. Our main goal during that time is to get you your much needed rest and care for your baby.
What does my Night Nanny do while I breastfeed?
Your night nanny can fix you a snack, make you tea, fill your water, support with breastfeeding, finish baby laundry. They can chat or be quiet. You and your Doula or Newborn Care Specialist will become very close and establish a routine that gets you back to sleep quickly.
Can I pump?
Of course. We will have clean and sterilized pump equipment outside your door. When you have finished pumping, place it outside the door. Your Night Nanny will feed baby or place it in your fridge. They will clean pump equipment, and have it outside your door for the next pump.
For most parents, the birth of their new baby is one of the happiest days of their lives – but unfortunately, it’s rarely the end of the changes and discomforts that can come with pregnancy. As mom recovers from labor and delivery and dad adjusts to life with an extra (an extra needy!) little person to think about, it’s not uncommon for sleep deprivation and total exhaustion to set in – and that can be dangerous for your health and your baby’s health.
Studies have found that the symptoms of post-partum depression worsen in mothers when their quality of sleep declines. Mothers suffering from PPD take longer to fall asleep, and sleep for shorter periods. Causing the worse- poor sleep quality, and leading to depression.
This is bad news for both mother and baby because post-partum depression can seriously affect the quality of the relationship between a mother and her newborn, making it harder for them to bond and form a secure attachment. If PPD is not caught and treated early, this can damage the emotional, cognitive, motor and behavioral development of your growing baby.
Research also suggests that sleep deprivation can reduce a breastfeeding mother’s milk supply, and cause memory lapses that make even the smallest of tasks – like changing a diaper – challenging for both mom and dad.
New parents often neglect their own needs, especially when it comes to sleep, but it doesn’t need to be this way. With the support of Night Owl Nanny Care, your night nanny located in Denver and Hawaii, can help with the baby and household chores. Everyone in the family will be getting more shut-eye – and you and your new baby will have the best chance of staying in excellent health.
If there’s one thing that’s almost as synonymous with new babies as excitement and joy, it’s sleep deprivation – it’s not uncommon for newborns to wake up needing a feed, diaper change, and cuddles every three hours or so during the night. After the marathon of pregnancy and labor, the first few weeks with a new baby at home can be exhausting and highly emotional for new mothers, and stressful for new dads.
Why Night Nannies are needed more
With more and more new families living away from traditional helpers like grandparents and extended family, a night nanny can help get your new family off to a healthy start. Our night nannies can support you with breastfeeding (or bottle feeding for you while you sleep through the night), changing diapers, swaddling and settling your baby. They will also quietly do essential chores around the house like washing, folding and putting away your infant’s laundry, washing and sterilizing bottles/pumping equipment, taking out smelly diaper pails, and even helping you with your baby’s first baths.

There is nothing more rewarding than holding your tiny, precious baby in your arms after 40 long weeks of pregnancy. The anticipation of their arrival, wondering what they’d look and feel like, who’s little toes and lips they’ll have. It’s all a gift and a very magical time. But, let’s face it! No one in their wildest dreams could ever have imagined how exhausting caring for a newborn is. While preparing for the baby’s birth, very few families remember to plan for the sleepless nights and the exhaustion and stress that comes along with it. Many mothers are left alone and tired to tend to nighttime feedings when spouses return to work. The care of themselves, their famly and that of their baby can suffer. Thankfully, there are Night Nannies for newborns!
Night Nannies for Newborns
That’s right! The help you need does actually exist. There are Night Owl NightNannies in Honolulu and Denver that come to your house and help you care for your newborn overnight so you can get the sleep you need. Statistics show that a postpartum mama requires at least 4 hours of consecutive sleep nightly to avoid postpartum depression. And trust us, as minimal as this seems, obtaining a 4-hour stretch during the first few months of life is often impossible. Newborn babies require a lot of care. They need feeding and cuddling around the clock! Most newborns eat every 1 to 3 hours which can be stressful and extremely tiresome for their caregivers.
Postpartum Sleep Deprivation is Dangerous
One of the leading ways specialists recommend avoiding postpartum sleep deprivation is to trade off the middle of the night feedings. That is a hard task when the entire family is overwhelmed and exhausted. In today’s day and age, very few people have the luxury of grandparents living nearby, and even if they did, rarely does help enter into the wee hours of the night. If you are located in Dever or Honolulu, you are in luck! Night Owl Night Nannies are available 7 days a week for a minimum of 8 hours a night. They provide the help and relief with the energy required so you can recharge for the next day.
Night Nannies provide:
Overnight feedings
Snuggles
Washing, folding and putting away infant laundry
Sterilizing and cleaning bottles and breast pump equipment
Emptying diaper pales
Settling baby back to sleep
Certified sleep training
Bathing infants
Sleep Training for Infants and Toddlers
Don’t worry! Your night nanny won’t abandon you even after the newborn stage has sadly passed and your baby enters infancy or toddlerhood. Night Owl Nanny Care also provides sleep training for infants and toddlers. Trained specialists in the Denver and Honolulu locations can have your baby sleeping through the night in just a few days.
Why Choose Night Owl Night Nannies?
Our night nannies are highly qualified individuals who must undergo extensive training and background checks. They will make your transition with your little one simple and rewarding, giving you the gift of sleep and comfort knowing your baby is in the best hands Denver and Honolulu have to offer.
All Night Owl nannies must:

You care for baby, and help mom when she needs it. Most moms pump or feed in their room and we grab baby or bottles when they are done. We recently have had the pleasure of working with a momma that hangs out while we feed baby and she pumps. The struggles and misconstrued information she was given was a bit surprising to us. We felt her pain. As Doula’s and NBCS (Newborn Care Specialist) we are required to take a breast-feeding course. Now, this is different from a lactation class. We know the basics and continue our education with experience. I actually considered myself, pretty knowledgeable in the breastfeeding area, not an expert but I can usually help a mom one way or another.
News flash
I was unable to help this momma with my once useful tips and encouragement. She also had two lactation specialist, so I figured my 5 tips were not to be compared to these two raving reviewed experts. Still she was struggling. With everything against her to make it to a Momma ‘Hood breastfeeding class, she made it. She walked in to find 20 moms successfully breastfeeding. With tears in her eyes, she explained she might be in the wrong class. The very sweet and knowledgeable teacher Amanda, reassured her she was not. She welcomed her with open arms and had her stick around for another class and extra tips to make sure My Momma was taken care of.
Light at the end of the tunnel
My very sweet Momma was given lots of powerful advice and tips, explanations, and walked away with breastfeeding twice that day in The Momma ‘Hood. She has a new energy and positive outlook on the breastfeeding adventure. She was about to give up hope, but then she met Amanda. So Amanda, THANK YOU!Thank you for your knowledge, and support. You have helped a Mom and an Agency see the light at the end of the tunnel. We now know every lactation expert has a ton of information, sometimes you need to meet the expert with the right information for your individual needs. To all The Momma’s out there, you are doing amazing! Keep your head up, and if you’re struggling, chat with someone at Momma Hood. They are a great resource.
Thank you Momma ‘Hood for helping make life a bit easier when we go through birth, struggles and triumphs. You are an amazing community for families in the Denver Metro area.
Momma 'Hood 2901 Zuni St.Denver, Co 80211303-643-5662themommahood.com
A lot of attention is on Mom and Baby. Understandable. Dad’s participate as much as they can. They listen to all the details. They run home to help with house stuff or other children. Dad’s are great! They support Mom and baby with love and helpful tasks. Moms are overloaded with information and tips. Sometimes dad isn’t around hearing all this useful information.
Going home
Here comes Dad again helping with chores, cleaning, snuggles, meals, support and anything he knows he can help with. When it comes to alone time with the baby, sometimes they feel less prepared. Soothing, diapers, burps, swaddling, its all very foreign for some.
How can a Doula support the Dad as well?
Ask them. “Hey, do you have any questions?”. “Did you need any tips on baby related issues?”. Most likely that Dad is going to be thankful you asked. Babies are intimidating. Its a fragile human you are in charge of caring for. Dad’s ask for suggestions, or help. Its scary, its A LOT to learn. You will forever be learning. Let us help you. We are there to support Mom and Baby, but also the family as a whole. Soothing, rocking, diaper rash, ask us. We are happy to help! Dad’s ask your Doula today!
